Leslie Burger Yoga

I’m originally from Petaluma, a small town in Sonoma County, CA.

My yoga journey began in 2005 when I tried out yoga as a substitution for physical education credits in high school. At first, yoga was seemingly just a physical practice that complemented my other athletic activities. However, as time went on, my practice became much more consistent (the peak being in college, when my anxiety and stress levels completely skyrocketed!), and I began to become aware of the amazing transformative effects of yoga.

I became more present; a little less reactive and moody; and I was able to cope better with stress and uncertainty. My relationship with my body transformed–not only did I become stronger, but I began to cultivate a greater appreciation and love for my body and its capabilities. Since then, my passion for yoga has grown exponentially, and my daily practice provides an opportunity to reconnect, heal, challenge myself, and find contentment and stillness in the present moment.
